dragons for breakfast

dragons for breakfast

A Chapter by Lyn Anderson
"

it's a long story

"
I was a vegetarian
nearly half my life,

I woke up one day
and had a dragon
for breakfast.

That was the day
you realized
I had checked out.

In Wales, they have dragon sausages, made from the dragon sausage company. You should google it, just for the laugh you'll g the warning....It says "Does not contain dragon meat." :)

It certainly takes courage to eat a dragon. I associated this with children's stories where the dragon eats the damsel. A rather good way of turning the tables.....

Nicely put thanks for the visit.
Is their not a certain (forgive me), dogma, preached by vegans and vegetarians alike, that all meat is inherently bad for us and that to subsist on an omnivorous diet, such as humans are meant to do, proved simply by the kinds of teeth we have, is somehow bad for mother earth? I mean not to preach, In fact I compliment you on how well you capture that feeling of lethargic woe in this piece. Very well done. Would love to try Dragon Fruit someday.

Thank you for the read and review
Almost always we cling on the bitter end, and then foolishly beyond. It makes no sense really, but there is always the faint hope that tomorrow will be different.

I have my beautiful eight year old son Charlie to remind me of what was, for now that is enough.

Beccy.

Thanks cat that means a lot because I do value your opinion a lot.
A boy tried to intimidate my daughter recently by saying "I'm a dinosaur that eats little girls".
She turned around and snapped back that she's 'a little girl that eats dinosaurs'.
We don't ever choose to be the victim but it's a proud moment when you choose to stop being the victim.

You're welcome.
To me the dragon you ate sybolized the courage you found to leave an unpleasant situation.
