A Poem by Nosce Te Ipsum

I need to get away,
far away from lies and screams,
screams in my head telling me rubbish.
Not far, drive a minute,
here we go, this place works.
Teeter tottering in the dark,
frightening sounds and movements around.
We don’t mind.
Stars above us shining
like the reserved sun of the night
bringing us an airy feeling
along with the crisp cool breeze on my arms.
I see her goosebumps,
want to share our warmth.
Run to the swings,
flying into the sky,
I swear I could jump out and float away,
please come with me,
I don’t enjoy being alone,
atleast not in this timeless night.
Fight, fight to run away.
Let’s go to the slides,
they will be our new house,
covering us yet letting in the air.
Run up the stairs,
standing high on the platform,
kiss me hard, let’s float away again.
On the top of the slide,
sitting down, you’re behind me,
protecting me.
Let’s slide down, lay at the bottom,
resting in you.
I look around, enjoy this night,
free and careless just like I always hoped.
I see others, as careless as us,
but they’re not important,
in our own magical world tonight.
I jump on your back,
running away once again,
away from fun and carelessness to raw passion.
We get in the car, kiss me,
pull your body to mine,
closer, closer.
In this moment I swear we were infinite.

Honestly, I simply write for myself. I'm not big on the technicalities. I do it to keep myself sane because generally there is no other way to release my emotions. I will be thrilled and overjoyed if .. more..
