Queen of the Night

Queen of the Night

A Poem by Tate Morgan
"

So like the ebb and flow of tide life's joys and sorrows surrender To the never ending song of love we both give as much as we render

"

Look to the moon queen of night

she causes the ocean to attend her

And he so long as she is in sight

has full tide to kiss her tender

When she at last turns off her light

he calls the mighty waves to moan

With low ebb manifests his sorrow

heaving the fathoms with every groan

So you the keeper of my heart beat

have my joys attending your will

Lifting the weight so high and so deep

causing loves every wave to fill

When you are gone away from me

as you sometimes are known to depart

Causes my very soul to ache

waves of sorrow flow from my heart

So like the ebb and flow of tide

life's joys and sorrows surrender

To the never ending song of love

we both give as much as we render

Author's Note

Tate Morgan
There is a beautiful relationship between the soul of humanity and the sea.And any who have spent time at night listening to the calls from ancestors from across it know what I mean. The pulse of the ocean in the crashing waves say to us we are Home.

Night, the moon, the sound of the ocean - a few of my favourite things.
Very beautiful poem

The sea and moon Tate, pull at the heart strings
Lead the soul to where it belongs
We often forget that connection in these times
This is enchanting love!

This has such a beautiful and tranquil feeling within it.. the song really compliments it wonderfully .. I applaud you on the mix.. Like most of your work.. it seeks the heart of the reader and touches it so profoundly. Your rhythm and rhyme were really good here.. and while soft it was remarkably enticing in a romantic way as well. Loved it!

This is amazing... I'm speechless.

Good stuff, Tate. The rhyming scheme is pretty good, too, considering that it is basically abcb, yet you managed to squeeze in one abab stanza and another near rhyme with beat/deep. I particularly like the unusual 'attend her/tender' rhyme. Good picture and goos music, too. The best stanza is the last - tightest and most poignant. good work.

You have used the simile of sea and moon as an example of love relationship in wonderful and apt manner. The vivid images create an imaginary setting of the moonlit sea in the nighttime. lovely!

I really loved the poem, but to be honest the font was a bit hard to read IMO, It's probably just me though. Still a 100/100 XD
