The End

The End

A Poem by Tate Morgan
"

He bore for her life's burdens Soothed the children of their tears Was the rock all others broke upon Left fond memory of his years

"

Biff Morgan

I fled on wings of starlit hue

across the golden sky

Up into the beyond I flew

watching my dreams go by

Shadows echoed love lost dreams

as memories of my past

Obscuring visions of my trust

all characters I knew last

The love that I so longed for

the beauty that I would need

Said live life as emotion

set forth by a holy creed

In battered rags of ancient might

my god sat on his throne

Viewing me in tortured sight

turning my sins to stone

My life passed by its silent way

asking of him just why

For now it's gone and left of me

I know what it's like to die

A poem like a canvas when we bring several different dabs of paint to express our grief. We point to the sky ... people ... the divine ... and a promise to ourselves not to forget the love. Put in place in such haphazardness that we can't help but feel your trembling ... at the very thought of life's unexpectedness ... its suddenness ... and the experience of immortality. Taking place as it does in the midst of our own endeavors in life ... it sometimes suggests a similar message for all of us.

Nicely done Huckleberry ... certainly one of your best ... in the way it showcases the responses of the passions in their natural qualities. Well done.

Ah, beautiful poem Tate. A definite soulful write from deep within. Insightful words searching the mystery of the ending of our life. I believe we are judged for how we lived our life.....good and bad. But God is merciful and loves us unconditionally. Death need not be the 'end'.....dying is painful, but it depends if we die with a peaceful and open heart, death need not be scary, it can be beautiful. It is not the end, there is a much more beautiful world awaiting us. God tests us, the bigger our faith, the more troubles beset us, but life is a test, its not easy, but one day we will be rewarded with the Grace of a forgiving God.

Sorry if I sounded "preachy" my friend, but this what I firmly believe, and this belief is what keeps me going day after day.

Kindest regards,

Helena :)

Tate
While this is so very sad it is a beautiful statement
of the reality of death. I want to go out under
a beautiful full moon in the arms of my love.
His face to be the last I see...

Tate this really is quite beautiful
as is all of your heart renderings.

This is a terribly sad poem. The flow of this poem is smooth and the imagery painted is a beautiful scene.

A soothing read... one would hope that 'going out' would be so serene...
