Beautiful Rain

I love getting caught in the rain

the smell is fresh and relieving

the damper i get

the easier it is breathing

I love the feeling of the cool humid air

the anxiety leaving my chest

I am no longer in despair

the water falling on my head

how beautiful and green the world turns

theres something about the rain

my heart and soul it yearns

to get lost amidst these moments

i have not felt so free

so filled with jubilation 

so complete

as the heavens cry

i smile

and then i just stand still

not moving for a while

because these minutes are fleeting

and soon it will cease

and my beautiful sorrowful rain will leave

and i am no longer at peace
