That Night

That Night

The cold white walls enclosed me,
A television was the only object in reach
White coat chatter
echoed the walls
Screams in my mind itched like a flea
"How did I get here?"
This madness seized my mind
The metal frame hugged my body
Along with lacerations on my legs and arms
The doctor said, "I don't want to see you here again"
Petrified, I replied, "You won't"
That night, I kissed my razors goodbye.

I think it's a very strong and honest poem Amanda. You have some great lines and images here - 'white coat chatter'. I must mention that I don't get your use of posterior in line 1 but it might just be me. I was in a similar situation last year so I identify strongly with it.
Well done for sharing.
