Know That I Too
We are never alone (a poem for mental health month)
Just Words

Just Words

A Chapter by Bekah B

It's never happened before

That words fail me

Since when did I lose my trust

In prose and poetry

There's no statement

No story

That seems right this time

No string of words or phrases

Can fix this

And it kills me

I have no other defense

If words fail me

What's next-

My heart

My hands

My eyes

My tongue

They can't be trusted either

Lest they turn on me

Like the words I write

Even now

I can feel their treachery

If words can fail me

Nothing's sacred

Nothing's stable

Nothing can last
