Cracked Glass

Cracked Glass

A Poem by Elizabeth

cracked glass
click clack
heels pass doorways

perfect echo
perfect girl
catwalk hallways

heads turn

they stop
they stare
they wish
they don’t dare

to ask
why the shaded eyes?

painted face
made of glass

swishing skirt
pouting lips
perfect thighs

click clack
cracked glass

Wow this had a grate little cadence to it, almost mother goose rhythm. and the subject matter was delicately approached with the poem but still began and ended in the solid punch you need to get the point across. Loved it.

The poem is amazing. The flow and movement of the words create a vision. Each short line making the poem stronger till the very good ending. A fun poem to read a loud. A outstanding poem. Thank you.
