But I can't remember me...

But I can't remember me...

A Poem by Bhavya Kaushik

...

But I can’t remember me…

I so clearly remember the past,

And still memorize every single day.

But now everything is turning into ashes,

And I only bleed pain along my way.

I know that I still exist in this brutal world,

But I barely know now who I am?

Here in nothingness I stand,

Where my life seems only like a game.

In my dreams you are always mine,

But in my life you are just a dream.

I only remember you and your name,

Which I only cry and scream.

In front of any mirror whenever I stand,

There is a stranger whom I see.

I still remember you...you… and you….

But… I can’t remember me…

But I can’t remember me

Wow...this is so very powerful. It is full of the torment of life. It is strange how most everyone at some point in their life faces an identity crisis. Sometimes it is hard to remember who we are through the pain. If we are not careful, the pain even becomes our identity. Then for sure it is harder to let go of our pain and heal. It is a scary thing to not be sure of who you are. Kudos on a tremendous write!

I have to admit that this poem is very different from your usual work. This is more raw and as Austin said, this is more on the "outfront" side of yours.
How much have you grown so far as a writer. You should take this seriously.

It's amazing that you've grown in such a pace where people say that progress is slow. You've moved like the bullet, ripping out one's heart. Once again this piece is fragrant by your immune d skill of writing. I am out of words in praise for your works and yet you don't stop, keep writing. You must have a huge head, or a huge brain underneath a normal, human skull.

Great work!~!

always remembering the other person, never having a moment to stop and look who is it that really looks back at you from a mirror, never taking the time to remember yourself...
sometimes sad but true...

I have to admit this is one of your more 'outfront' pieces. It really showed us how you feel and your reactions as well. With an amazing this ring, the last line leaves a mark in my mind. It really just echoes into nothing, really making me think about all the ways you could mean it.|
"But I can't remember me"
Creative and as always, lovely :) thanks for the read Bhavya
