Love Beneath the Moonlight...

Love Beneath the Moonlight...

A Poem by Brenda Sue

Our souls will make history
Your spirit draw thee sweet to me.
I'll give to thee a lover's kiss,
Dancing beneath the moonlight's bliss.

'Neath the silvery paradise,
I'll taste your splendid spice,
Wrapped in the sweetest blanket,
Of a satin lover's sonnet.

Wrap tender songs about me;
Whisper words of sweet beauty.
Show that you can't live without me
Like the blessed sky so misty.

Cradle me in your strong embrace;
Caress thy trembling face with lace.
Your love for me alone proclaim,
'Neath midnight stars aflame.

MAGNIFICENT! this is the most beautiful poem i have read in a while. it shows the true wanderings of a hopeless romantic! it is beautiful. the context is the longing that you are seeking forth, i hear it in the words you put so delicately. maybe even that you have found the kind of love in which i can only dream of. i am still lokking for that right one. but this is so beautiful!

Very beautiful and sensual piece of work here. This piece reminds me of a warm summer night with a lover under the moonlight. I can picture this in my head and it makes me smile to have the feeling of serenity as I read this.
Beautiful!

I just closed my eyes after reading this and smiled while trying to recite some of the lines. This is pure beauty.

You have managed to capture the magic of a moment here. The simplistic beauty of love is the greatest of all :)
Very nicely done!

Magical, very Edwardian in style. The words flow well and fill the senses with images sublime. There is love behind the chosen words and depth of a bygone era...loved it!

a beautiful structured poem - I believe they're called quatrains? the aa bb ryhme scheme is strongly handled in this one making it very lyrical, almost a vintage type poem. Awesome writing.
