A Chapter by Brenda Woods

he's the type of boy to run away with;
wide eyes, hopeful smile
you accept his request to dance
lose yourself in quick steps, effortless twirls---

sometimes, he falls flat on his face
needs your grip for support
sometimes, it's him that holds you;
and he'll never let you fall

it's only when faced with losing him
when you realise you've fallen hard

Keep on writing away.
