On death

The road never ends

Is it the worst that can happen to us?
To die?
I think not.
I believe it to be a blessing from God
That we are not doomed to spend infinity
In this fallen world
But even in death 
Have hope of something better
When we choose to believe


A voice in my head told me once
Regarding death 
"It doesn't hurt
No-one ever dies"
I take great solace from that friendly voice
And I choose to believe them
Why would they lie?
So, no I don't think death is the worst 
that can befall us
Who knows...maybe it is the best?

Some may think life is worse than death, some may think death is the end, the very end.
I'm pretty open about it, you live, you die, you eat a pie. It would be nice to come back though, even if it was to fix all my faults. lol

Hello Caroline. First of yours I have read. I agree, there are things worse than death. I do believe that planet earth has its own hell. I don't know what will come next, I am in no hurry to find out. Thank you for sharing your work here.

Actually, those words comprised the ending of a poem I wrote years ago, called "Solace."
