A Transient Blemish

A Transient Blemish

A Poem by Chris Shaw
"

(mind wanderings on a sleepless night)

distant fir tree tops
create silhouette tattoos
on moon's peerless skin

dear Chris... the Moon does appear to have tattoos...
and I can only imagine... as I view beyond the stars
through the top of fir trees what secret symbols are
embedded... perhaps angel wings and flowers praying
for our world in disarray. gently, Pat

A striking and quite creative bit of imagery.
Your mind, poetess, wanders to very lovely places.

I really like this one. I interpret this haiku as a statement on perception. We see the moon for the trees in the way of it instead of how fair it really is

Another fine Haiku, dear Chris. You always capture the imagery so well in the brevity of the form. Tattoos on the moon is so very original. Not that I can stand tattoos, mind you. Yuck! So well described, here. Much enjoyed! :))
