Grass Talk

Grass Talk

A Poem by Chris Shaw
"

(my muse still focusing on blades of grass)

"
i don't need no diamonds
or pearls of luminous sheen
the stone that fell from my
white gold ring, can be
replaced by a plait of green

If you ever publish these as a collection Chris, it should so be on hemp paper 😀
I like how the grass theme is keeping tickling your mind. It leaves me wondering what such a collection would be called... A lawn of poetry? Every 8th one would have to be a daisy though 😀

This is a perfect example of simple living and high thinking. A beautiful life need not be one full of expensive things. Appreciated very much.

Yes, there is something about the natural green that surpasses all human artifice. Of course, I wouldn't try to make that argument to a pawnbroker.

Trees, flowers and grass are a girl's best friends.
Where were you when only expensive jewelry seemed to suffice?
Could have saved a fortune happily unpacking a picnic basket in some rustic setting.
Charming poem.
