I still don't understand what's system of composition for haiku. But this have quiet zen transcend spirit in it. Wind and rain even can be sometimes dangerous for grass but without them grass will die. So we are back again in balance . This really broken my morning into beautiful observation of our world. Thank you and have nice day.

Beautiful! It may be quite short but it really packs a punch. You have a unique talent for creating a scene and sending a message with just a few words. I really loved this one, wonderful work!

He that bends low, hardly ever breaks. There's a world of wisdom in this haiku, wrapped in beautiful imagery and choice words!

Really like your response Pestonjee. Thank you so much.

What does it know that we don't Chris? Maybe a lesson to be learned there! To bend with the breeze and not be so set in our ways that will break our back if we don't acquiesce.
Oh crap! I took it too far and now can't get out my beanbag chair. Is this the shame a tortoise feels when it upends itself and tries to wobble itself back into an upright position?
And more importantly, why the hell do I still have a beanbag chair like it's still the 80's? 😀

and often people are like this tall grass...bends but doesn't break...
we face adversity often, just like the grass, and we survive.

mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm love it! was just reading Coyote's story of his Gramma and forgiveness .. listening to Lakota Peyote Healing song ... the serenity of it is still with me and here I come and read about the tall river grasses and resilience .. the image of it leaps into me nog instantly ... being at one as they sway in the wind ... with life's river singing backup ;) delightful haiku ... deep and satisfying says i!
