looking at an old photo I took years ago

Morning Glory:

Morning glory in a spring face,

golden framed photo memory 

of future splendor to embrace-

a promise of full beauty to be.

Close by a hedge apple tangle,

regrets posing as a dark dream

skirting a stained crown bramble-

a painting of past long forgotten.

Nothing's more beautiful than the wonder of a morning glory, whether flower or the morning's first gentleness aglow 'pon a lover's sweet face … both of which is easily perceived dancing in the easy flow and vivid imagery of your verses' poetic voice.

The past is long forgotten, but the sentiments are lasting. Even during sober afternoons, one may reminisce in a morning that belongs to their longing past, if the strokes of wind are strong enough to deliver our mind back in time. Thank you for the pleasant read, author carl, it was fun.

I have recently remembered something long forgotten too and it has been constantly on my mind ever since.
It was only a name from an old class photo (the teachers name) but as she was only a young teacher at the time, I have found myself editing her life ever since into a story I hope ends in a very long and happy retirement.
She was a favourite of all us kids and sadly, we believed that all teachers would be as kind.
Boy, where we wrong! 😊

I had two teachers in high school that made a serious impact on my life, one who sacrificed his time to teach when he didn't need to and another who got me interested in reading. Every child deserves to have good teachers, hopefully they will all have one or two.

I love looking back on old black and white photographs, the ones with scalloped edging, borne from sepia tone afternoons of long ago. Though they are stilled, they capture and hold my breath for the briefest moment...

I was once involved in film photography as a hobby and enjoyed it very much. On occasion I sit and reminisce over my old photos, thus this came to me. Odd phrasing because it was all in the past but at the time had other frames of reference. thanks for the time to read and comment.
