In My Sorrow

In My Sorrow

A Poem by Deborah Leah Krempa

I n my sorrow

N othing escapes me

M y heart is so stricken with grief

Y ou can not imagine my despair

S adness surrounds my world as I weep

O ver the passing of my beloved wife

R emembering her last words to me

R ecalling her final breath of life

O ur last kiss which left me

W eeping in my sorrow

The art-poetry combination was priceless. A great, emotive poem.

Much deeper emotions felt here. This is the depth I've come to expect from your works. Nice way to get back on track!

O ur last kiss which left me
W eeping in my sorrow

Yet another great acrostic. Convincing sorrow.

This is so spot on!
When you are grieving, your emotions are working full speed and you are more likely to pick up things you would not be able to at another moment.
You are more likely to spot the little things, mostly taken for granted!
Last but not least, using the word 'Sorrow' in both the first sentence and the last, enables the poem to make a circular movement, which makes it more complete!
