The Healing Power of Love

The Healing Power of Love

A Poem by Decaf

Throughout this war

I've earned a purple heart

Yet the wound didn't heal

The blood lose unaccounted for

The pain hidden

And the fear shown

The end of war has come

The peace treaty has been signed

My wounds healed

My pain relieved

My blood contained

And my fear changed

The peacemaker is you

The healer is you

The reliever is you

The surgeon is you

The new fear is losing you Love

Wonderful metaphor. Sometimes in love all you have to do is keep fighting for what you love. :) You are by far one of my favorite poets, Love.

So true! Best line for me
"I've earned a purple heart
Yet the wound didn't heal'
