Sounds of Sorrow

Sounds of Sorrow

A Poem by Diana Owen Busy with Life BBS!

Listen to the sound of misery,
an agonizing sound so mournful
The angels weep.

Look at the face of sorrow
a look so pitiful that the angels
weep.

Feel the hurt of the unforgiven , so
painful the angels weep.
Watch as the chosen falls so unbelievable
the angels weep.

LOL, your's as well hey =) thats one reason I'm painting at the moment, my daughter can do that with me and its not morbid LOL... Angels weeping and crying, I think about that from time to time, mainly when I'm crying, mainly when I'm crying over someone else's sorrow,, I wonder where were they when we needed them,, I like the song by Shakira: How do you do... I think that sometimes, and I wonder, do they cry do any of these deities cry. The thought that they may you have put down well in which instances they may if they did.

I don't think it is morbid. It is very sad, yet very touching. I can relate to writers block right now, but you seem to be overcoming it. :)

Writer's block is a hard thing to overcome sometimes. This is a very heartfelt piece.

Don't pay attention to those who call your style morbid. It takes a great deal to write from a darker perspective. I am sure that she means well, but it can be even more of a deterrant when you are trying to write.

I like the premise. I KNOW THE FRUSTRATION OF WRITER'S BLOCK. Keep writing...even if you have to write about the paper that waits for the pen...it will come.

I often wonder if the angels weep for us....and do they weep for our hurt or for our ignorance? Gotta love those kids...they can be our worst critics can't they? lol. a very nice write...sure the writer's block is lifted now.

It's a tender exporation of the depth of disappointment...leading to a failure to thrive and move forward with life. Perhaps angels have much to do with our better selves, and disappointing outcomes effect them as well.
O wonder who the chosen one would be, a person you know or strictly metaphorically speaking?
Your poem has a sweet sadness...

I can say I heard one person wailing so bad it made me feel their pain. Not so much as loud but just really unhindered coming out. So angels weeping has got be pretty severe. Like in dire times or somethink like it.
I wouldn't say it's morbid. It's more like something grandparents might tell the grandkids. "don't do that or you'll make your gaurdian angel cry.' Hmm. maybe the way I put that is morbid. Still a touching and emotional write.

Morbid, no. Sad, yes. This is quite beautiful for it's sad content though. Very nicely done!

This is so sad. I didn't think it was morbid at all, but very sad.
