A Poem by Tabitha Deasún
"

The result of when emotions are held within. Eventually they build up until they can no longer be contained. Was written as a chain poem, requiring the use of certain words, for a tutoring class.

"
Lost in restless thought,

floating in another plane of being,

the mirror now reflects only stillness.

Fragmented glass shards behold,

like a thousand spider's eyes,

flickering emotions upon a simple face.

Each chaotic feeling warring for prominence,

bloody hands clasped against stomach,

each gasping sob like a physical kick.

Lashes flutter as eyes drift closed,

tears making a trail along pale cheeks,

lips part on a cry as the dam breaks.

Author's Note

Tabitha Deasún
Well, you'll learn something: I'm not fond of poetry, to be honest. Mostly cause I have trouble with it. However, I happen to have written a good bit of it and still do on occasion. Feel free to speak your piece. I like constructive criticism as it helps one to improve.

This is a lovely write. Could actually relate to the pain that you have tried to convey here. Great work.

You have areal gift, Tabitha. This complex work is easily understood by all of us who have felt deep pain and loss. I not only see this scene, I feel it also.

Outstanding!
