i'm just a Disney Cut-Out

i'm just a Disney Cut-Out

A Poem by jacob erin-cilberto

i'm just a Disney Cut-Out

overwrought with contentment

your lips press against mine

in dreams where mediocrity meets beauty

and the beast purrs against the wind

echoes of thunderous tenderness

the clouds melt into tiny balls of cotton

and the soft lightning of love

strikes with impending doom

ecstatic doom,

delirious death,

wish it could strike twice

because being electrocuted by your touch

is such an exciting execution

to imagine,

in fact,

i am reading the menu

of possible last meals

just hoping your sky will meet mine

halfway...

Well now, the title is much more shallow than the waters it advertises I think. More like the fantasy has come to life rather than a cut out representation of reality.
I find the skies never do meet half way Jacob. It seems more like one gives all of itself to the other and the next time it may or may not be reciprocated, but this is where the lightning usually occurs.
Enjoy your meal. :)
