Blizzard Beats

Blizzard Beats

A Poem by jacob erin-cilberto

Blizzard Beats

solid snow walls
frozen tundra of heart
expectations melded to ice dreams

heavy jacket exuberance
cannot cover the hurt

she is still snowing inside.

You are most welcome!
Whoa that's one Ice Queen being described here. The frost has certainly set in.

thank you for your words, Chris.
some are hurt so often, this just happens, eventually.
Her cold heart is, apparently, an unbreachable fortress.
Maybe you should seek warmer hearts in warmer climates.
Compelling poem!
