Love's healing radiations warm away any doldrums and fulfill our most fervent hopes.
In other words, heals what ails lovers, while inspiring them to undreamed-of heights.
Lovely bit of work, Jacob.
... slipping out of one's doldrums is easier said than done, isn't it .. but recognising that one is stuck in them is half the battle .. maybe
.... comfort is one of them things like both beauty and pain .. deeply personal, subjective and when it feels just right, you just know it dont'cha .. oh' and dont others just too .. I guess reciprocal love is the ultimate comfort quest and when that exists, self doubt goes out of the window ...

so true, Neville...thank you for your insights,

Comfortable with love and for a poet, comfortable with words, too. I sense an uneasiness here. Like a battle with words on the page and the need to slip into the groove again. The proof being in the worthiness of the next poem. We can all relate. Love the "ease me into you" line.
This one led my mind to picturing a nature documentary, but with humans as the special guest. Are we so different from the animal world of once bitten, twice shy, as they remember instinctively that what we crave can just as easily lead to our demise.
Now I think of it that way, I am now wondering if we are above the animals in pecking order and how exactly we managed to drag our sorry carcass out of the food chain.
As ever Jacob, you havre stirred my thought pot 😀

"All you need is love" yup, John Lennon knew what it is all about.

In and out of dreams ... the proof of heaven abides. The Stars align and Moonbeams smile...
as Comets dash across the Sky... I ask not why,
but revel in the ecstasy of early morning Dawn.

You made me think of John Lennon's "#9 dream"
thank you, Pat.

This sounds like someone who has been bitten and is wary of being hurt again. I got the feeling of slowly, slowly does it, to be sure. We all have to take risks with love. Nicely penned Jacob.
