New Tenants

New Tenants

A Poem by jacob erin-cilberto

New Tenants

immeasurable sorrow

tears in flux

the sky cries against windswept

memories

houses occupied by others

no trace

ashes in a crypt

manners leaking in current unction

hugs still felt,

proud words, looks

acceptance after years of strain

perhaps life just waits us out

realizations come tardy

but eventually cast themselves

across a still pond

if only we could see

just a couple more ripples

the tears might reel themselves in

for an adjournment

the verdict rising as reminder

the past always catches up to the future

as the urns turn.

What would Yoda say… all spooked up for Halloween… I took my Kids around the Neighborhood … wearing an over the Head Mask as Yoda… the Wise One. I think when we meet our Demise, we will be a pale green like Yoda with a lot of expression… I only hope there are Oreo Mint chocolate Cookies and we can touch whom we choose to touch. Amen, Pat

and they will touch us back...thank you, Pat,

oooh... the twisting and the churning, has that feel like the windmills of the mind... the urns and their turns as new tenants painting another story and living out new found memories in the making. Like a choking pain in the chest, direct hit j. /Freds.
