Path two
poems walk hand in haiku by
lake of lyrics swirling
syllables gently caress the
soft dew between their bare toes nature
nurtures noble virtue verily
they stroll semantically whispering
words that breeze across
the calm hearts
accord according
to the setting sun and
the poems clasp accordingly lovers
write into each other's heart they
become a sonnet a
longer variation than three lines always
a beginning and
then rhyme times them into gifted gentleness sweet
scent of metaphor smiling
into an embrace a
third poem joins then a
fourth a fifth and so on is
Modern American poetry a
village a
quaint quatrain or a
quiet riot wryly
spoken in
roses that
petrify before
they bloom. erin-cilberto 3/12/24 © 2024 jacob erin-cilbertoReviews
