the blade's passage

the blade's passage

A Poem by jacob erin-cilberto

the blade's passage

in the aftermath of myth

some things parlay

into fact

just by mere act

turning disbelief

to a labyrinth

of intellectual play

verses longing

from inside a heart's sheath.

Jacob,

Most thought provoking philosophical lines of contemplative poetry.

Thank you for your kind words, Marve.

Your first stanza makes me think of religious books of all faiths written thousands of years ago. Religious fanatics who literally believe this stuff word for word. This is probably way off j, but I saw the blade dripping red. Please enlighten me:)
