Hopeless

Perhaps,
a glimmer of hope resides
in the delicate balance
between numbness.
and the fragile
thread of hopelessness.

Farjana,

All that is needed for the continuance of keeping keeping on is that essence of the very words you have shared so beautifully above, most especially you words, "a glimmer of hope reside ..." ... For a glimmer of hope is all that is required to restoke the fires of inspiration, dedication, observation, dedication, and emancipation of the desires of the Human Heart, be it one person, a people, or a nation ... Truly enjoyable and most contemplatively meditative philosophical lines of fine Poetry ...

hellos, that's the hardest thing, when love falls in one side, or was never really there
it breaks one to pieces, so hard to contain, internal pain, :) great write, Dear.

Hope is the beacon of light before reaching the safe shores, after the tumultuous storms at sea.
You write wonderfully.

I agree wholeheartedly. You are welcome dear poet.
A brief speculation here, but one that definitely provides food for thought. The numbness mentioned would seem to be the reaction to a traumatic event. The result of such events can often be hopelessness, but the poet is saying perhaps a glimmer of hope exists between the numbness and the hopelessness. Those contemplating suicide could benefit from a few readings of this one.

Dear Farjana, I loved that this poem highlights how fluid the human state if. How a tiny ray can help end a night and conversely how a bit of darkness can overshadow an entire sunny day. Your words give me so much to ponder on. I loved the beautiful imagery that the poem offers for the reader to immerse in. Well done, my friend.

What a compact punch you have delivered Farjana. Hope, despair, disdain, with just enough of a hint of finding what's sought to bring the reader to a boil of satisfaction.

After reading your poem I can say that there's no perhaps about it. I feel there is a glimmer of hope. Wonderfully explained and expressed.

Thank you for sharing your observation on this poem.
'Perhaps' is a large word with numerous meanings, in spite of its apparent intentions - usually! However your brain and sense of comfort have created a near miracle between the left and right of life! Super sweet writing. Farjana Chaity
