Solace in music

Solace in music

A Poem by fattycbreezy52

Your words--
An immutable fact,
A constant overflow of venom.
Directed my ears
To the cheerful humming of the headphone,
Seeking solace
In the ebullient euphony.

Descriptive as always FCB as you tell of the protagonists retreat from the verbal onslaught by shielding it out with music.

Sometimes it is better to close our ears to words that we consider rubbish especially harsh criticism that doesnt help, in your case I see headphones came to your rescue

Me too.Thank you!:)
Ya, being an IT guy, I can totally relate to this. More often than not, I have found out that music helps us focus on what we want to do - be it in office or somewhere else.

"Seeking solace
In the ebullient euphony." - Couldn't agree more. Music always takes me to a different world..

A good write :)

Ok.. I believe you.. You win :P
The familiar but nonetheless excellent words immutable and overflow sing to my ears as an IT guy FcB.
Ebullient and your trademark euphony wrap this take in one. Its strong and sticks a middle finger to the purveyor of those toxic words.
Nice one.

Breezy, I have always had my life intertwined with my love of music, I remember events in my life with tunes from that period accompanying the memories. When the world turns too complicated to figure out I bury myself in music like others do with books. This beautiful piece really spoke to me, and I thank you for that. take care...dan

Great title and beautiful words to describe how we find such comfort in music... it is, indeed, antidote for the poisonous venom of verbal abuse, shouting, taunting, noise pollution and whatever intolerable sounds often fill our ears... it is an escape to a whole other world... love the last two lines... fantastic write, FCB!!
