Blackbird

Blackbird

A Poem by fattycbreezy52

Silvery flakes plummeting down,

Glittering in the bright light of the harvest moon

The blackbird swooped down

And sang in the dead of the night;

Pouring forth its miraculous melody

Which could change infernal into ethereal

Trying to take the help of the broken wings,

And learning to fly without any aid

As if waiting for these moments to rise,

Never caring for an abrupt fall.

That's one of my favourite beatle's songs! I love the poem, it definitely does your inspiration justice. Great Work!

Thanks a lot Rilen.I am flattered.
Birds hold a special place in my heart FcB. I once mourned for three days - inconsolable - when a hatchling fell into my garden and I tried to take care of it after its mum and dad abandoned it. This touched me. I'm glad I found it tonight. thanks for posting it.
