Chapter UNO (one) My father ignored me completely and went to work., my birthdays always have been emotional since my mom passed. Snatching a ripe yellow banana off the counter I sliced it up and stuck it in the blender. Along with milk and peanut butter, pressing the button till my milkshake was ready then pouring the contents in my cup. Heading out the door I began my pattern step- step- sip- step- step- sip. With the occasional trip and spill, all whole jamming out to For a pessimist I'm pretty optimistic by Paramore. Today seemed like all others except I felt relieved and even a little joyous. Finishing off my milkshake I switched songs to the band ISMFOF, and the selecting the song, But the Nuns are Watching. Closing my eyes imagining a music video for it and giggling quietly to myself. Before I knew it, I was on the steps to the entrance to my school. I raced inside to my locker waiting to be greeted by Allix, my best friend EVER! When he got there I smiled and hugged him tightly squealing out of delight. He held up a finger indicating that he woulMxd like me to wait a moment, which I did. Then he pulled out a purple envelope and box wrapped in The Nightmare Before Christmas wrapping paper. He smiled that sweet tender smile I love and said " Happy birthday Ray!" I hugged him again and tore into my present happily, pulling out a tee shirt with different doodles and graphics. Turning it around to see my favorite bands (at the moment) logo. It read "Kiss My Sass" in pale red and blue box letters, then up towards the chest it said "Cobra Starship!" I was so excited and overwhelmed with joy that Allix had to remind me there was a card. He handed that to me as well and I opened it, the card was homemade, I smirked at him. It had everything bat man logo, paramore, cobra starship, ISMFOF and other bands and doodles. I opened it and a cd slid out, it was home made too and for that I smiled wide. Allix really knew me, better than anyone and I LOVE home made gifts. The card read: Hey Ray, HAPPY BIRTHDAY GIRLIE!! I love you so much, did you know that? We're going trick or treating together this year, right?! The cd has our favorite bands and songs, now worries(: I have one too but we've known each other for 11 years now and I have really grown fond of you. Would you like to go out? If not I understand...(: XOXO Love always(: ~Allix<3 I gasped, looked up, and nodded all at the same time. Allix had been holding his breath the entire time, he smiled wide and hugged me tight. The school day sped right on by and I was happy because Allix and I had and for this weekend. I texted him to make sure he remembered. "Hey Allix still picking me(: up right?" My phone rang two seconds after setting it down blaring my ringbone for all my contacts. It was from Allix, he responded "yea boo outside your house now, ready?(:" I laughed inwardly on how girly and giddy I got when he called me pet names. I quickly recovered telling him to come up I'll be ready in a few, then I continued putting on my pants. I heard a knock and cursed under my breath slipping on my shirt, I opened the door for Allix and he came in and sat on my bed. He picked up and played with my stuff panda as I applied eye liner. "So where are we going exactly?" Breaking the awkward silence lingering in my room. "It's a late SURPRISE gift from my parents for you" he said smiling. Allix's parents love me like their own they allow us sleepiness and spoil me silly, but they always over do it. Since they are rich they really don't care much a s never had, but they spoil both me and Allix being that Allix is the only child. Walking over to Allix I helped him up and we went down stairs to his corvette. It seemed fancy but this was the least fanciest or flashiest car the Jacobs owned. He held the door open for me both the house door and the car door, I entered the car and clicked my seatbelt on. I was glad I wore jeans and not shorts, if I wore shorts i'd be embarrassed with my thighs sticking to the leather seats. He walked around the hood and did the same, when he turned the car on I slipped in our disc. Smiling he pulled out of the driveway one hand on the steering wheel the other in my hand. Singing my lungs out till I thought they would burst to every song on the disc, I was having SOOO much fun. I paused silently thinking to myself, then decided to try and get some hints. Smiling devilishly and winking inside my head to the devil on my right shoulder ignoring the angel. Jutting out my lower lip and widening my eyes, I put on my most persuasive puppy dog face aimed at him. He glanced over noticing my silence, then again, he kept this up then finally we hit a red light and he be burst. "OKAY! Fine they gave me money to take you out and feed you as well as go on a shopping spree. With no limit on how much you can spend, but I am most definitely NOT telling you where too. Also I told your father you were spending the night all weekend so he decided to go out of town." He rambled on quickly as if nervous to see my reaction. My jaw dropped, as the light turned green and the car lurched forward and so did I. Slamming my head into the dashboard I busted out laughing hysterically. Allix looked highly worried but I smiled to assure him I am fine. He slowly reached and grabbed for my hand, my stomach did a 360 as I realized I had missed the warmth of his hand. I mean, sure we've held hands before but now that we were going out it made every thing so much more enjoyable. I smiled at him and he smiled back just as happy. In my head I was dancing like a fool and screaming with happiness and anxiety. Then I decided I ought to try and grill him to find out where were heading. "Are we going to a popular place?" I asked breaking the silence besides the radio, snapping him out of his thoughts. "Nope." He said popping his lips making the sound of a champagne or wine bottle being opened. "Is it only for rich people?" I asked confused. "We sort of most people who go there are rich, but it's not a requirement to be rich to shop there." He said smirking at me, I rolled my eyes sighing. Well that's not helpful at all I thought quietly in my head. "Must you be such a hellion?" I mumbled, he found this to be amusing and funny, he busted out laughing. "Melodramatic much, babe?" He gasped in between laughs. "Nope" I said mimicking his popping noise, then began giggling but then his glasses feel from the dashboard and broke. It ws his turn to roll his eyes, I decided. Humming the death song and clearing my throat before speaking Ina low deep man voice. "Here lies Allixander Jordan Jacobs' glasses, whom we called four eyes. Let all respectfully bow our heads for the inanimate object that committed suicide." At this he did laugh, and roll his eyes and I joined in on the laughing. We laughed for what seemed like centuries then Allix announced he was thinking of getting lorgnettes so that would no longer happen. At this I found super hilarious to think a football player with opera glasses on?! Then we roared back in to laughing as we passed a sign that said NYC two exits, a mile ahead. Had three hours really passed, I thought to myself. I felt pretty excited, gently squeezing Allix's hand, I looked out the window to see traffic and then the city in the distance. I decided to take a little nap, I informed Allix and requested he wake me up when we arrived and he agreed. ~~~~~ALLIX's Point Of View~~~~~ I hadn't fed in a week, my self control was becoming weaker. As she slept I could hear her sweet heartbeat and it made me sleepy and hungry it was my personal guilty pleasure. One hand on the wheel even though we we're in traffic, I used my other hand after prying it from my baby. I reached behind the seat and dug in the duffel bag bringing out a black water bottle. I drank the thick delicious liquid quickly in fear of Ray seeing. Wiping my mouth I put the bottle up, we had finally reached NYC. I drove to the ally way between 4th and main. I sped up to eighty miles per hour going through the brick building, entering Chaydes. I showed the guard my teeth and my special I.D, then we were in. Unfortunately still in traffic. I decided to wake my love. I leaned over pecking Rayne on the cheek gently rmzocking her. "Rrrraaaaaayyyyy bear wakeeeeee upppp." I said soft and sweetly as she stirred. Groggily wiping her eyes, scanning the scene, he jaw dropped and he eyes bulged. -----Rayne's P.O.V----- It was absolutely beautiful, the way the colds played with each other and the sun was a soft yellow, or orange color making my surroundings seem tropical as a slight warm breeze washed over us. On both sides of us stood so many shops and buildings of all sizes and shapes. Every and any store Barney's,Tiffany's, Claire's, Icing's, Hot Topic, Journey, Spencer's, and even the Underground Asylum. I was drawn back, simply astonished I looked at Allix and closed my jaw. "W-W-Where are we?" Confusion and shock coated my voice thickly. "it's a secret, but I promise to tell you later hunny." He responded slightly patronizingly, then he smiled at me. But just then Christina Perri came on and all questions and rebuts evaporated into this air. So mindlessly out and my heart out, and sometime during the sappy and depressing chorus Allix had grabbed my hand. Traffic had moved and opened into a small road which we took to a parking garage. Allix paid the bill and then he got out holding the door open for me. I smiled getting out and walking close to him as he draped his arm around me. Then we went to my favorite store, Hot Topic. Where I got some things for the both of us. I got me a new rose choker, and new colorful snake bites. I got Allix a new BMTH bracelet and a few shirts and a blue and black studded belt. Then I got some gifts for my friends a red industrial bar for Cassandra. Silver nose stud to match Elaina's eyes, and another color of hair dye for Emma her little sister. Then a poster for all of them that matched their personality according to me. Then Allix and I walked to Barneys where I got skinny jeans in red, black, dark denim, light denim, and purple! Then some tank tops which fit snug but not in a s****y way at all, and some dark brown cow boy boots and black leather ones too. Then Allix dragged me to Tiffany's, I went unwilling because he already spent so much money on me I really didn't want that much spent. But he made me go where he had already picked it out and just bought it, it was a ring with a small diamond in the middle and two topaz stones on either side of it. I was beat so Allix suggested we start our trip home since it was already 4:30 on a Saturday. But the Saturday part really didn't matter, because were out till Tuesday thank gosh for our veterans getting us out of school! We took a cab back to the parking garage, loaded then car,and hopped in after Allix gave the guy a ridiculously large tip. As we pulled out of the parking space my stummy growled, Allix laughed and we agreed to get dinner. Allix made a quick left and we were off to subway, yum! When I turned on the radio it wasn't on the cd, it was on a country station. Then Allix started singing along to Good Girl by Carey Underwood, and I busted out laughing when he sang the chorus. I picked on him a little then sang along to Hunter Hayes, Wanted we sang it to each other playfully. Then we switched the country out for our cd, where we listen and rapped to Undead by Hollywood Undead. Then we sang along to Paramore, ISMFOF, and even a little Flyleaf before arriving to subway. After we got out when we were crossing the parking lot Allix draped his arm around my shoulders and bent down nuzzling his cheek on mine. We got in like that he only pulled away to order both of our subs, I got a Philly Cheesesteak on Italian bread toasted with mayo, tomatoes, lettuce, white American cheese, and onions. Allix got a less complicated order, he ordered a club sandwich on toasted whole wheat with pepper, mayo and white american cheese too. The entire time he ordered I couldn't help but feeling like people were watching us. Glancing out the window I noticed a couple and a purple bird staring at us intently, my heart raced and I shuffled closer to Allix. ~~~~~Allix's P.O.V~~~~~ "Would you like these to go, sir?" The female cashier asked in a seductive voice, that sort of pissed me off that someone would flirt with their girlfriend right there. I mumbled some words like pathetic and desperate, idiots these days, I nodded and held ray tighter feeling her become nervous. She was so fragile but so important to me, I handed over a 20 and grabbed our subs. I noticed what had made Ray nervous she was watching them.
