![]() A view on ReligionA Story by EnlighteningStar![]() My personal point of view![]()
I believe there is some greater power that put humans on this planet, but i do not follow any religion blindly.
I do not understand people that segregate, hurt, or even kill for their beliefs. People that follow a book written thousands of years ago, that, in my opinion, was written by the fantasy authors, the H.P. Lovecraft, the Edgar Allen Poe, the Shakespear of that time, depicting the perfect man living amongst the common mortals, and a divine being that is powerful enough to judge whether you should be rewarded or punished for eternity. These individuals blame poverty, catastrophes, all the bad things that happen on the world on "god's will", saying that if it all happened, it was for a reason, but prey on the gay, the bis, the retarded, the people of other religions, the "outcasts" because "god said it was wrong", "Allah wouldn't allow it". I do not understand the hypocrisy of some people. If all happens for a reason, why not let live the people that do not follow your religion, your way of life, your sexuality, whatever is different from your little tiny mind. The only "God's law" that humans should follow is "Love thy neighbor". If people learned how to love a person despite whatever tiny detail they have different from you, the world would be at peace. The "Holy Crusades" wouldn't happen if the Christians didn't see other religious people as heretics. Hitler wouldn't have started WWII if he didn't see non-pure germans as inferior. The current bombings and killings by ISIS wouldn't happen if they didn't follow Quran so blindly. Humans need to believe in something "above them", but they should not need to see others as "bellow them". It is in our nature to believe in something greater, that all happens for a reason, that when we die, there is something waiting for us after this life. But in the meantime, we should practice peace, not war. Love, not hate. Religion is good because it brings people together under the same roof, and they all believe in something greater. Each one has it's own idea of what the afterlife might be, but all have one thing in common. They all believe in peace amongst men. Even atheists believe in peace, although they do not believe in a bigger power, they believe that you shouldn't kill one another over a religion. Whether you are friends with a jew, a muslim, a christian or an atheist, all that matters is that you are friends. Whether they like to go to church on sunday, pray facing Meca, or stay at home and watch some TV, you can all hang together in the same place, exchange stories, have a good time without entering into conflict about religious differences. © 2017 EnlighteningStarFeatured Review
