Last Word

Last Word

A Poem by Frieda P

Hanging by the noose
cryptic farewells penned
that last breath of words

never wraps up loose ends

Very powerful, I liked how much emotion was contained within such brevity. Must be the pain inside someone committing suicide is so great that they feel rushed to the act, and such complex emotions would probably be very hard for them to pen in many cases....but for sure, a note left behind is never an equation to describe the properties of the soul (i mean soul in the secular sense)

You've packed so much into these few lines. But I wonder if there's any explanation that a loved one could leave that would give us peace and understanding? Would it only add to the guilt feelings so many have. Thank you for sharing this personal thought friend! Xo

Bitchen review ;-)
Tragic words that steal from all, this was a sobering use of emotion

Thanks so much Cherrie
I can't stop reading this. It's just so powerful that I really can't put what I want to say into words.

So few words, yet so much emotion. It's intense. Well done.

Thanks, much appreciated.
This is so indescribable.. You read it once you get it.
You read it twice you feel it.. You read it thrice you are still hung up on it's true intent and meaning and that too contained in so few words.

I wish I could understand the pain or suffering to be capable enough of commenting on it and yet I have because I felt I should not just sit and pass onto another piece without expressing myself.
Compelling poetry.

Okay. I am eager to learn Haiku but am unable to due to personal reasons.
Thanks very much.

I've only just dabbled in Haiku's, there are quite a few here, check out Baby Ricochet's.
