The Shadow On My Shoulder
There is an angel who sits upon my shoulder who goes by the name of Death...

Punishable by Poetry

A Poem by Frieda P
"

'the wrath of a poet scorned'

"
What's behind these words,
     blood, sweat, tears
        heart & soul,
reaching into the vastness
 of perception and tangibility~
            swept away by pen
when you step on my emotions
          it leaves a scar
I surrender unto you my word
you steal them; it's broken trust
a betrayal punishable by the law of poets
we spew back in poetry with assasination
until the dirty deed comes undone
heed the warnings, they are everywhere

Do not tread lightly
upon the shadow I have cast
the dark side will eat you alive

you are most certainly welcome!
This happened to me a few years back on Myspace. Someone took one of my poems and used it on their page. I e-mailed her and asked her nicely to take it down. She did comply. But then went on to tell me I should have never posted my work if I didn't expect it to be used. I shook my head in awe over this belief. Writers share ideas and thoughts. It is not okay to steal someone's work and make it your own. This was a very well written piece. This is amazingly written.

Ha! Not so common if you ask me.....
This was really good. It shows how poets write and that the put there heart and soul into what we all write.

It is terrible when someone has to steal someone else's work. It disgusts me and it sure as hell will come back and bite them on the butt.

"you steal them; it's broken trust

Totally one hundred percent right! It is betrayal to poets and the trust you had them disappears because you are hurt by what they have done.
