~But a Dreamy Whisper...

~But a Dreamy Whisper...

A Poem by Frieda P

     i had a lovely dream

                          or was it a dream?

feelings still linger like hot fiery ice

i am certain you touched my face

            caressed my heart,

      held my hand

thought i caught a glimpse of you
out of the corner of my eye

chalked it up to wishful thinking
                                and lunatic ravings,

      the next moment,

              the gentlest breeze,
      a fragrance remembered so well,

a discernible whisper in my ear,

and I noticed there, tucked at the nape of my neck

                            wildflowers in my hair

I'm so glad you are dreaming some nice dreams for a change among all life's troubles and aches. We need them to refresh our souls and give us hope...Bravo...:)

beautiful ending, such an enchanting piece, lovely!

Once again grasping at the memory faded, enticing and thoroughly sorrowful. Well done.

"wildflowers in my hair" -- sublime image.

Such a gentle and sublime moment in time. I love the way that you are able to shift between the light and dark...you are like the dawn, stuck someplace in between, and it is beautiful.

Warm breath on my neck, I just got the chills " the good kind I assure you."
Ethereal and dreamy Frieda.
