I can't very well just leave a blank review, so I suppose I'll simply have to find a way to express in words the speechlessness I feel. I don't want to add or take away from anything there. The lines come to a close, and I sit for a few moments, the noise around me suddenly much quieter. And then I read it again. And I am silent again. It's like a cycle of contemplation, this poem. Most of all, it is immensely heartfelt and soulful....
( ps---my heart did a fist-pump when i read the word flutterby. that's what they do, after all! )

only in the most excited of ways (: reading your work is a pleasure.
What words of comfort can I offer you? There are none. I know what it is to lose someone you love...there is no pain like it in the world. People try to assure you that it will get better...but it never does. But, somehow, we must learn to live on, if only for those who love us.
Just know, my sweet friend, that my heart, and my prayers, are with you, for what that might be worth...

I am sure. Lee is looking down and shedding the same tears as you my sweet friend. Your poem is so very sad and emotionally written I now am shedding those tears as well.

As someone who attempted this many years ago, I can understand to a degree - but thats all...
"Oh Lord. Please look down upon your servant Frieda and render her pain and anguish to hope and belief that Lee sits with you this day in your own gardens."

So glad you were not successful Anthony, my heart goes out to you, thanks.
Monumentally emotional words. There is no way to figure out "why" in certain situtations in life. I'm sure your sister knew you loved her. Your sorrow is palpable in every line of this one, Frieda. The lines nearly cry out with pain and this reader feels it deeply. Butterflies...flutterbys.....such a strong symbol for you like they are for me. Beautifully written, Frieda. May memories comfort you. Lydi**

Yes flutterbys will always do it, thanks fof your kind thoughts Lydia.
and all I can feel is the angonizing reign,
took you from this unsightly existence
to plunge into the abyss of forever after
I liked the whole read...but that did this for me...I know this one is for your sister...and the beginning where you talk about smoke and mirrors cannot cover the pain...just gives much in lines of this verse....
If you want to know me, read my poetry, it's all in there. I am a mother of three sons (my finest moments) a sister, a survivor and a little bit crazy. I lost my beloved sister to suicide, so you'll.. more..
