~ Dark Angel Tears

~ Dark Angel Tears

A Poem by Frieda P

I bled out through dark ashes
in attempts to heal stardust
You were floating on fluttered
     air of sea foamed ripples
My breath was stifled infinitely,
    intrinsic absence in your rhapsody
Drowning in abysmal insanity
 these depths of pensive poetry
    sworn  flourish of successful flight
Our blood mingled upon dismal wings
   henceforth glimpsing timelessness
        reverie
 of envisioned dark angel tears

This is one of your most imaginative and melodic pieces Mrs.R...you've said you're not into myths yet this one has a mythological quality to it...don't lose faith in poetry, even the pensive kind, to keep you afloat amid the insanity...life is littered with letdowns but poetry is not among them :) xo

'intrinsic absence in your rhapsod'y - the feeling of someone who is there but not there Frieda, is very well represented in this poem.

You never know what you're going to get Pete, thanks so much.
very strong feeling of sad soul and broken angel........awesome.
"Our blood mingled upon dismal wings
henceforth glimpsing timelessness
reverie of envisioned dark angel tears"

It is axiomatic this angel is broken inside, bleeding inwards endlessly...this is indeed powerful :)

I liked this, but in a wee bit of a critical response, this might have worked better https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0R6WIbx8ysE

you're welcome...by the way...hehehe...I have to give you a smile some how...
Quite dark and haunting here Frieda, though the imagery is just as good and surreal as all your sensuous love filled writes!

You humble me Tom, thanks so much!
A heavy-hearted read, ethereal and lovely. I read your grief between these lines Frieda. Your pen bleeds sorrow, but it is beautiful...

A deep and haunting poem Frieda, the complete opposite of one I just read. I agree with Stella, that last verse resonates deeply.
Wonderful dark writing
