You Asked For It....bad poetry

~for the creative bad poetry contest, you asked for bad poetry, you got it. ;-)

The apathetic aptitude of numbers had left me color blind

the physics foretold were discombobulating to me, a student

studying with fiscal frustrated madness,  a math wizard in disguise

paint by numbers of the brain was above my pay grade

Random synapses

 fired subliminally in my mind,

like  holograhic sputtering of gray matter'd egghead tissue

unattractive in umbered hues of brown, I wrapped my pen around

flamingo pinks & eel glow green instead,  for they were floating in my head

Being a math person by necessiy, not by choice, I can completely identify with this one, Frieda, and know it is a bad situation - a great subject for a very bad poem. lol When numbers dominate your waking hours, it's very hard to fit those words somewhere in between. Good luck with the contest!

You certainly have a point about winning that contest, unless you think of the word "Bad" - now to the very young, "Bad" means "Good" so if you're young at heart and you win you can just smile and say you misinterpreted the sponsor's intent and purposely wrote a very good poem, which of course, you did. So, see, win or lose you can still keep smiling! Sleep well.

Often I have heard the word "bad" used to describe something that is "good" or "very cool", so in keeping with that line of thought I will say this poem is extremely 'Bad". You are one "bad" poet my friend. I wonder if anyone has ever used the word "bad" to mean amazing. Well I just did. Good or bad luck in the contest, however you want to view it. :)
