Pink Posies on Unicorn Wings

Pink Posies on Unicorn Wings

A Poem by Frieda P
"

*You cannot hide yourself behind a fairytale forever*

"
You want to read little pristine pretty posies not get involved betwixt & ignore the thorns of life whatcha gonna do when your scratch becomes infected hiding in the bushes of denial will get you hives of the contradicting type, bucking like a bronco amidst the flowery storm clouds of refusal riding through wild fields of four leaf clovers on unicorns wings of phantasmal puff'd perfectly pink skies pseudo fairy tales conjured up in the mind never to cross the median line of reality's mock deception swallow the chimerical pill of inauthentic utopia just be sure your mythical allegory never plays havoc in your secret garden of rainbow streaming sublimity, the fall is greater from the zenith of repudiation

I like the way you dress your feelings with creativity and with a mystical and whimsical touch...a cameo of a painting you have penned Frieda...Rose:)

The debunking of myths we would like to believe exposes the psyche to distasteful truths. It is, of course, better to accept life for what it is....warts and all. Still, there is something to be said for rose colored glasses. They can make life a little more palatable, can they not? Your vocabulary in this cynical view of life is stellar, Frieda. I so enjoyed the ranting of it. "pseudo fairy tales" might give one indigestion at some point, but believing there is a Fairy Godmother and a Prince Charming, well, my view is, why not? One of your best, Frieda. Lydi**

I feel like the narrator is warning us from fairytales and live in the reality of things and situations even if they are hard and harsh. I can feel that the narrator is a realist and talking from great experiences in life. A good advice from the narrator is to take the median line ...Bravo

This one was painful, don't we all hide behind a fairy tale at times? Well let's just say, "blend in" at times. I know my mind often wanders into these fairy tale settings, but still I always realize that it is a crowded city street on which I walk and not a field of perfect pink posies. This smacks hard my sweet friend...still wielding that 2x4 I see.

Yes, it's true that roses have thorns...

But it is also true that thorns have roses.

Or blackberries....there's a huge patch of 'em in the woods behind my house...yum!!
