Amber'd Reminisces

Amber'd Reminisces

A Poem by Frieda P

In dark amber twilight recesses
     folded over and safely tuck'd
memories mull like sweet dandelion's tangy

wine
          of burgundy'd evenings bliss
    spice of nectar'd afternoons
            morning's satiated stares
I beckon these recollections
    on tempestuous
rainy days raging such as this,
reminiscing when we danc'd 'tween raindrops

Wow! I'm so behind reviews, Frieda. Glad I have this in my list. This is so beautiful. It's so obvious I'm so fascinated with any piece with the concept of rain. And I love the music, too. I'm going to download it for my own copy (the you tube music video) so thank you so much for the share. No wonder you got high rating here.
Bravo!

Grazie mille Ahena...
I really do enjoy your wine themes as you blend them so perfectly into a romantic poem. I love the rain, it's so sensual and your final two lines are simply divine, especially "reminiscing when we danc'd 'tween raindrops". Wonderful writing. Justine :)

Thanks Justine, what's better than wine and rain. ;-)
"... reminiscing when we danc'd 'tween raindrops" ~ little, tiny wing'd things in that "dark amber twilight." That certainly puts a different complexion on it, doesn't it, Frieda? Nicely done.

Frieda, thre is nothing like dancing between raindrops, it's special when you are in sync with someone in this way.. another favorite for me is when you dance and get totally soaked but never caring because you know how wonderful those moments are.. you do write wonderfully romantic poems Frieda hopefully this is more than memories... ~~redzone

You're the best, Frieda -- always writing such beautiful, heartfelt poem that hold so much emotion. It is lovely when we have memories from our past that are stuck in our minds. I loved the wording and imagery.

Good job.

We always remember the one who danced us into tomorrow...the one who made us think dancing in the rain was an adventure. Your reminiscing here is poignant and so very romantic, Frieda. Lovely. Lydi**
