Elusion's Disbelief

Elusion's Disbelief

A Poem by Frieda P
"

Are you still breath that exists...

"

afraid of what was and what will be

at an impasse of delusional catastrophe

are you still breath that exists

if I can't see the essence of your smile

rouged lips before storm's deluded deliverance

untouched by hurricane's hush before it silenced dawn

 poignant posies escaped atmospheric pressure

'tween angst and harmony's yonder aspirations

speculated on a cloud of dust'd past grievances

             phantoms unprecedented glory be

beauty within skies' torturous moons

             my anesthetic mind dreams nevermore

spirits haunting lucidity of reality's gasp

mocking in mirror'd reflective ghostly images

        darkly colored iniquitous consternation

                amidst constellations of heaven's lie

 grounded in elusion'd discernible disbelief

                  quietude of sanity's revelations beckon

i can never read your poetry just once ... there is simply too much there to miss if one doesn't take time ... "Elusion..." what a great and seldom used word! .. stuck in a quandary .. palpable misery of over stressed mind ..gone numb ... prayers fall lifeless at ones feet ... whoa and calamity is surely coming ... this is a tale of someone in need of a rudder ... i am feeling as a puddle after reading .. and i agree totally with the Noodle ... big squishy hugs to you and another fascinating poem

I can tell.
How can I respond to your poem, Frieda, when I am trying to find my way, to a spot, where I can rest, without this heavy burden upon my chest? As I feel my tears, threaten to unleash a tidal waves, as the memories float past.

Nice to see you back on the cafe, thanks, muchly appreciated...
A looming storm exists in the atmosphere and it silences everything, but you can't quite help but to wish everything would remain as it is in the calm of the storm: not knowing whether or not the storm is to come, but still reveling in the calmness of it all. Alike to the calm, passing time seems to play a factor in the paranoia of this piece and it all adds up to the general anxiety felt when a relationship hasn't quite yet hit breaking point, but it could be better; the fear of the worse however keeps you wishing things would remain as they are: on the brink. I wonder how long it takes until the looming storm becomes akin to the sunset, a happening that you can always count on (except in certain areas of the world during Winter) or whether or not the whole circumstance will remain the same long enough for your speaker to adapt to it, and even find comfort in it.

Thanks muchly Ssadd, glad you enjoyed.
The first blossom of spring, her gift... a breath that exists waiting for an unknown season of rain, she inhales and holds a breath...

"Are you still breath that exists"

She whispers

"Elusions Disbelief"

Frieda, your written word is a poem of breath that exists...
