~ I dance alone

I dance alone 

     in unworldly spaces    'tween

                a darkly disenchanted spin

          divided in solitaire steps   

             to that place of off key symphonies, 

  once our strides harmoniously rhymed

    rhythm of blues tripped my feather'd shoes

        jazzy druthers sighing in sad tune'd sashays ,

          longing to prance in madness of elegant 

                             cross'd body gilded tones

  want to be your Terpsikhore once again

      feel your empowerment move my soul

         upon amber'd cloud nine perfect skies

I haven't read any of the reviews, but in light of how many there are, I wonder how many times you've been told that you never dance alone...well, whatever the case, I'm looking you in the eye right now and telling you, you will never dance alone Mrs.R, as long as I'm around. As Elton and Bernie said, sad songs say so much...xo

I talked to Terpsikhore before commenting on this poem and was told that no-one, not even you Frieda, should dance alone... so.. someone must do this, sigh, with my 2 left feet and all, Frieda, come, dance with me.... ok, ok, I will behave (though it's boring not having fun), my favorite line: "to that place of off key symphonies" cause it captures that place where love turns and is lost, even if we may want it back.. but here is where Terpsikhore got it right, metaphorically speaking, you can't get love back if you don't dance.. it's one of them muse laws or something.. Frieda your luverly sad poem can be danced to.. in the words of Madonna, "I'm waiting" xxoo
