Creeping Determinism ~ Einstein Noodle & Frieda COLLABORATION

Creeping Determinism ~ Einstein Noodle & Frieda COLLABORATION

A Poem by Frieda P

this tragedy was so avoidable
all the dots were there
connected to a creeping feeling
clear like mosquitoes stuck in amber;
determinism held like muddied arrogance
trying desperately to dance

Reflecting back,
like camera shutter winks
rippling within the eye's wisdom
twinkling blinks of  past reality's snapshots

everything looks better
swayed waves of sight
like heat rising over ocean sand
so simple to see when turning pages
looking back

frozen memories
thawing in currents demands
digging in the ash to remember
how the road led to indecision's rhyme
when windows of reason shut the mind
moments in life seem to trickle down
as the clock ticks ticks quarter to hindsight

This is incredible feast of imagery...I was hooked at the connected dots, a fitting image in light of the poem's style...the major theme I take from this is media manipulation, and a search for the truth in visual propaganda...am I over-analyzing it with that interpretation? The clip suggests a less-serious piece than what I'm reading ;P But again, I can't stress enough how much I loved the imagery here...the windows of reason shutting the mind really got the wheels turning, possibly because I like window imagery, and a lot of my ideas come while looking out my window...congrats to both of you on a sterling work :)

I like the words and the photos. The strong description led to the good ending.

I like my frozen memories. Something to write about. Thank you for sharing the amazing poetry.

A seamless collaboration with a beautiful bouncing baby poem the result... and look, it has Frieda's eyes. It also has rich and funny metaphors and layers of meaning--just what every poem needs to live and thrive. Great job you two!

Great work both! Hindsight and reflection really are wonderful things.. can relate to this so well! Love the concept behind this piece.. :)

I loved it and I well be damned if I can say exactly with precision what it is going on here but the colossal amount of intensity and the fact that every line that passes contributes one more piece it makes it frantic. And whatever went wrong when described like this "determinism held like muddied arrogance trying desperately to dance" jesus!! it makes me want for it to go wrong just so I can feel like this.
And that bit were in retrospect"so simple to see when turning pages looking back " that is pure wit of the evilish kind. Hilarious how ironic those moments are. And when "when windows of reason shut the mind" oh yeah throw all that logic away because who needs logic anyway when we are about to brake anyhow.

Damn it ! That was an invitation to a view of a " Day to Rememeber".

Thankyou so much I don't mind this collaborative enterprises at all

Nice collaboration to you two my greatest friends, It is hard to tell who wrote which stanza, very impressive. I particularly love the last three lines...

well don't you two make a splendid team .. I enjoy seeing bits of both of you in there

'determinism held like muddied arrogance
trying desperately to dance'

one should never allow themselves to be chained to a pole by muddy arrogance when life is calling them to dance .... this is certainly a life mantra right there

funny the lessons we can see just waving their hands in farewell if we just let them ... it all seems so damn easy when you look over your shoulder ... ahh but if we never had the experience at all, whatever would we have learnt....

with each re-read I enjoy it even more x x

LOVE LOVE LOVE and britches !!

What a neat concept -- creeping determinism, sounds like my road to divorce. I didn't quite get the pairing of the pic, and the music is blank.
