Bid good morning to crazy...

Bid good morning to crazy...

A Poem by Frieda P
"

_ "and ask, why not?"_

"
I bid good morning to crazy every day
kiss the ground it walks on,
how else does one deal with insane complicity,
problems we ourselves have created at detestation's toll
hateful crimes of brother against brother,
children starving, wars waging in the name of religion
men dying and women crying in fear of invasion
terrorism, the proliferation of nuclear warheads
our planet dying, and climate changes
homelessness & few graciously extending a hand
         welfare with little assistance,
               spread of infectious disease
yet, more telling is written in apathy
the way in which indifference of power yields
not for the good of the people,
but in profit of its own merit's enterprise
we walk a fine line when we venture
to close our eyes to life's atrocities
without standing united for mankind's prosperity
let us glean motivation in peaceful aspirations unfurling,
in those moments,  hope still flutters
           in perpetual benediction's grace

Am I crazy to believe, you bet,
   apparently the world could use
a bit more insanity as such...

    "and ask, why not?"

Are you holding a sign in front of the White House...as you put this into action...seems a political out cry in the scheme of things in this write...but I liked the message in the lines...and I do agree with your font this time around...good day...Frieda...smiles...

The things the world has forced into our eyes and minds have shed a lot of light on humanity. Great take on where we are as humans. I feel all the same.

Ain't that the truth.I think you have to be a little crazy or in our case a lot crazy to make it in this fooked up world.Well said chica .

Well, this isn't what I was expecting when I clicked on it... loosely defined as a rant maybe because the tone is so hopeful, positive, and moving.. It isn't just complaining.. it is offering opinion, suggestions, pushing for a change... well done girl... pen is mightier than the sword, if we can't inspire for mankind, then what good is our talent?...

This world is certainly off its rocker in so many ways,,, they say fight fire with fire, I say fight crazy with crazy, in other words enjoy life and do what you have to do to bring joy to yourself and loved ones no matter how ridiculous you have to look to the outside world.

yes it does. You gave us a powerful "peace" of your mind (appreciated that graphic too) Miss Frieda. If this is crazy we all need to work to be committed, don't you think?

that Elvis .. reminds me of Buddy Holly on angst :)

there is enough evil in the day isn't there .. sometimes i think the best i can do (it seems so hopeless) is to keep my thoughts peaceful and loving .. lending mystical power to thought Karma .. then i go down stairs for breakfast and forget all about it .. and so it goes :{ i am glad you ended on a note of hope .. we always have that right?!
i think your first two lines are simply brilliant!

My Lady you get my vote. In this you express the questions most common, decent people ask in private but are too afraid to shout from the rooftops. The on-going case of the parents in a Spanish jail because they removed their son from an English hopsital in an effort to get him different treatment not offered is a small example. It appears insignificant when compared to Syria, Iraq or Palestine though.

A storm is brewing in you Frieda and then 'POW" it explodes, a scathing attack on the world of politics whether government or terrorist, an attack on our inability to control disease, we have the ability but help is controlled by profit, ok stop me or its a tirade against this unfair world led by greed, a brilliant poem Frieda.

Mindlessness rules specially in world politics. They change the meaning of everything they stand for to pursue some ill thought ideas. Look at religion they were formed to find peace, forgiveness and tolerance and their so called followers quite do the opposite. Same goes to politics which was made to make our lives easier. The above words a lot of sense to the troubled soul of this earth. Only place we are likely to live on.

i cannot tell you how much i like to vision of waking up with crazy every morning, kissing the ground it walks on... I love that idea. The rest of the piece is moving and thought provoking.

But from a poetic POV there is so much that can be done the thought of falling in love with an emotion, etc. Thank you Ms. Frieda, you have taught me something wonderful.
