The cyclic amp

The cyclic amp

A Poem by gram linski
"

" Sunarise come every morning *

"
The cyclic amp got switched on many a haunted moon ago,  it ground the tears and years to dust and made bread soft enough to cry and wank upon, it did not care, it just is, all hail the ephemeral, real, love rusted machine, the grind goes on, there is no stop, another maleficent day, spit fucked wasted night, and sleeping the sleep of the unfuckingslept, a toss, a turn, fart, cough, how much no sleep is unslept enough, the man that sleep forgot, cogs scraping, scratching, crunching, will surely ware away, we trust in blame and shame,,,,, Anarchy approaching, it's in our D.N.A. day by day by day by f*****g day by tornique'd bleeding tainted ruined night, and cannabis to stop the thoughts, and poetry and wine to stop the shakes, and a line or two of sulphate blues, and the only time the clown like frown begins to smile is reading the obituary columns
distant misty Monday morning blues;

I never get used to not sleeping. Every night I go to bed thinking this will be the night where I actually rest. I do everything right (ha) and don’t cloud my mind and still I’m like a cicada with my mind buzzing all night.

It’s like a bad dream, but you’re always awake watching it play in front of your eyes. The brain fog and skipped beats in the waking hours when everyone else seems to have their s**t together.

Yeah, this poem is well and truly felt. At the worst times I perfectly understand the smiling at the obituary columns.

I won’t say good stuff because it’s not good stuff. It’s horrible stuff well-articulated. My sympathies.

Ah but think of the advantages! You could pen that novel or write that scene play. No seriously I get up at 05:00 and often am awake, if not up to the loo twice, three times. I choose to get up early to exercise before the heating clicks in in winter and the sun bites in summer and then get my dear lady her cup of tea before she rises for breakfast and work. When she retires in September I kiss goodbye to 05:00! But the times in my life I have been sleepless I have found unbearable so my heart goes out to you and all the others who find sleep eludes them. This piece expresses that in your frank and inimitable way and is very entertaining.

Oh insomnia, is a wrecker without a doubt, and it sounds as though you gave a bad case of it. Wears you out physically and mentally and reduces you to jelly. Reading the obituary columns, you do that too gram? All I can do is say that all who have suffered insomnia know how you feel.

i know my insomnia is bad for me ....and in the long run the lack of sleep or regular sleeping pattern will hurt...but my muse uses it to her advantage...and at least i can be okay with that...
Anarchy by the body will come...sleep has forgotten me....
but the fingers still move over the keys.
i relate to this...and those next morning blues.
good stuff, gram.
