I wish I was lightning.

I would be there in a flash

For you, and you wouldn't be alone.

You'd have to be strong so fast

To find a lightning bolt to hold.

 

I'm a spark, but I just can't keep

Myself together in this dark

And I'll come so close,

I can strike so deep...

But baby you can't come back for me.

 

I just need to let off some steam,

You could say you've been drawn to me,

You're so different, we match perfectly,

And I love your strength, and I adore

That you only fall in a perfect storm.

 

I'm all we need to be instant friends,

Take your crushed stone heart,

Make it perfect glass...

And touch you again

Just to watch you smash.
