A pre-emptive strike

Synopsis

A pre-emptive strike as far as I'm allowed to judge is a gripping novelette. Its word count is 15,455 words, while the entire book includes 21 additional short stories of intelligence, espionage, suspense, action  and adventure; which have been written since the beginning of 2013.

The entire book includes 75 pages and its word count is 36,135 words.

I believe that my 15th book titled "A PRE-EMPTIVE STRIKE" represents my best creation along three decades of writing.

Below is a short excerpt of the noveleltte, which opens up this book:

'I think you'll let them keep on their sailing preparations Hakan, but it should be stopped at the last moment before they'll set out. These human rights organizations and our contribution to their cause are out of date and irrelevant. Gaza doesn't interest us anymore; our real problems are the expansion of the ISIS Caliphate in Syria and IHH…'

'Yes you're very right sir; they're getting closer to our borders from day to day. Do you believe sir that our IHH could get in touch with those ISIS barbarians?'

'That's a dangerous possibility and it might be our solution just as well…' The president added with a mysterious smile.

'I see sir,' the young defense minister smiled back. 'I bet you've already a plan sir.'

'Yes Hakan but in general lines only. The main idea is to encourage stealthily a connection between IHH and ISIS, and blame IHH in treason.'

A short silence ensued while the young defense minister weighed various possibilities in his brain, and the president waited impatiently to his loyal man's answer.

'Do you need some more time Hakan?' The president expressed his wish for an instant solution.

'No not at all sir, it isn't a complicated task, and it's feasible without any particular problems.'

'Is it that easy to solve Hakan, and you don’t need to sleep on it then?' The president added his rhetoric question with humor and much relief. He knew he can always rely on his most loyal man.

'We've several low rank active members that speak fluent Arabic, so we'll send one of them to Syria to get in touch with the ISIS high rank Caliphate members, to speak about cooperation between the IHH and their Islamic state leaders . He'll be promised a quick promotion of course, and with whom he'll meet there won't make much difference, provided it will be an ISIS member of some importance.'

'This would be our right solution Hakan, I know that I can always rely on you, but see that the one chosen won't be a Turk, but of some other ethnic origin.'

'Well we've a few Kurds in our ranks, and two or three of them were born in Irbil their capital or near it in Northern Iraq, these're the men that speak fluent Arabic sir…'

'Great Hakan that's exactly what we need. What time is it?' The president wondered aloud, and sneaked a look at his golden wrist watch. 'Oh it's too early for lunch, but we'll have a light meal togather.' The president decided with a note of satisfaction.
