Torture

Torture

A Poem by Haim Kadman
"

A short love poem

"

Stop torturing me...’

Prometheus asked

the eagle that picked

his liver

Stop torturing me…’

The tied up prisoner

asked his interrogator.

I’m neither Promtheus

nor your prisoner..

I’m not tied up to a rock

and my hands aren’t tied behind my back...

So do answer me please,

whether it’s yes or no,

and don’t turture me.’

The infatuated lover

asked his beloved idol.

i like the pace. i kind of knew where it was leading but it was like the steps at the bottom of the staircase were of a different size. nice piece, Haim.
