Hypocrite

Hypocrite

A Poem by Jennifer Neuman

You are a hypocrite
A liar of the lowest kind
I gave my heart to you
I was so blind
Every word that you said
It was too good to be true
Even this I knew
Deep down in my naive heart
I cry for you
Only your selfishness
Outdoes your greed
A feat I fear
Can only lead
To the death of you
It was the death of me

Definitely no words were wasted in this poem; it's excellent. It defines what a hypocrite is and how they are but you personally know one and their words dragged you down. You're also afraid of their lies will lead them to their untimely death?

Beautiful. And the line
'deep down in my naive heart
i cry for you'
was outstanding. A great piece. I like it!

A very good poem. Your point was made in so few words. A liar can take many down with them. No wasted words. Just a outstanding poem.
