Monster

Monster

A Poem by Jem Sagcal
"

"
I've become what I feared the most,
Twisted and tangled roots,
I've become what I said I'd never be,
An angry, unforgiving, monstrosity,

Can you blame me?
Do you blame me?

The world is a turning chain of hurt,
Understanding becomes a grain of dirt,
Hope is the thing of past nonsense,
Friendship a distraction to enhancements,

I've become what I feared the most,
I have no regrets, no feelings of remorse,
Can you blame me for what the world has done?
Can you blame me for what society has become?

Author's Note

Jem Sagcal
It has been 50 million years since I last posted anything, and I'm really glad to be back.

These past few months that I've been away has just been one hell of an emotional roller coaster ride and I've just been avoided any form of social media. My mind was pretty clouded and you know, writer's block is a total bitch when emotional instability kicks in.

So I totally apologize for having not responded to any read requests for months. I have returned and I miss everyone!

An inquisitive thoughts of self, a sort of cofession or searching soul where you belong and what fear to avoid fo you are in doubt about yourself. A good introspection and well presented. Sometimes we had this feeling about ourselves, a provoking verses.

Sometime we turn to monsters and don't realize it. I like the directness and honest feel to your poem. Sometime we must stop. Access our life and tried to be kinder and better. No weakness in the excellent poetry.
