![]() LobsterA Poem by john l smith![]() the great escape![]() Warm is the weather Although early in spring So off to the beach For a pleasant afternoon fling
Looking forward to that picnic pie taste When a large lobster ran by on the fly Showing exceptional eight-legged haste A sight that put apple pie in my eye
First, there was one And then there were three And then how many more All headin out to deep sea
They had escaped from the restaurant Just cross the street With the chef in hot pursuit Who was now facing a lobster defeat
One passing lobster slowed to a walk To say there’d be a menu change Which the chef would have to re-arrange I was quite surprised to hear a lobster talk © 2019 john l smithAuthor's Note
